The Pella Little League, by requirement of the league is a totally volunteer run organization. We have over 100 volunteer coaches each year for our 500 participants. This is an excellent opportunity for parents and community members of all ages to get involved in positively influencing the youth in this community. There are a number of volunteer opportunities that can benefit these kids and the league. Please consider contributing of your time and talent in one of the following ways:
Coaching – Clinics are provided for new coaches – no certificate is required. Umpires – Experience or training preferred, clinics are provided. Field Preparation – Requirements vary from year to year and will continue to grow. Event Coordination – Assisting with Registration, Clinics, etc. Board Member – Assist in the local chapter governance, administration and coordination of all league activities. Fund Raising – Work with local businesses and citizens to raise funds for the program County Representatives – Participate in the Mahaska County board functions Teaching – If you have skills and experience to offer and are willing to share those with the kids, there are opportunities to assist the league in and out of season.
